TMS is safe and well-tolerated which is why it is reimbursed by Medicare, there is a very rare risk of seizure with TMS treatment which is mitigated with screening by our psychiatrists
TMS is safe and well tolerated, however there is a very rare risk of seizure with TMS treatment (<1 in 30,000) (Stultz et al 2020). This is less than or comparable to many antidepressants (Montgomery 2005).
