Some private health funds may cover out-of-hospital maintenance treatment on a case by case basis
The new Medicare item number states that patients who have previously has TMS treatment in or out of hospital are not eligible for Medicare reimbursed TMS treatment.
Some health funds will now cover TMS treatment, especially if it may prevent a hospitalisation.
